first day of school

Jack's backpack, which was filled with school supplies, weighed as much as him.  He's a 1st grader now!

My 4th grader--so grown-up!

We got their backpacks at L.L. Bean's:  Jack's has sharks all over it (his lunchbox is covered in alligators), and Elizabeth's has her name stitched across the front in white thread.  Elizabeth was a bit nervous this morning :  the fourth graders go to a different school, and she's scared she won't know her way around the building.  (I'm sure she'll be fine!)  I'm not sure if you can read Jack's t-shirt?  It says, Class Clown.  Too true!  His poor teacher...
