We survived Sandy--the power went out at around 6 pm last night while we were carving our Halloween pumpkins. Both kids slept in my bed, and we woke up to learn there was no school today. Jack's first 'no school' day! I was walking around the house this morning, straightening up, and both Elizabeth and Jack were at my heels, so much so that I said with some exasperation, "Why is everyone following me?" Jack's reply? "Maybe because you're cute?" Oh, my goodness! that child makes me laugh out loud!
