Jack had his first den meeting this evening. Love that uniform! I'm learning all the lingo (pack, den, Akela...); the Cub Scout motto (DO YOUR BEST); the Cub Scout promise (I, Jack, promise to DO MY BEST, To do my DUTY to GOD, And my Country, To HELP other people, and To OBEY the LAW of the Pack; and the Law of the Pack (The Cub Scout follows Akela. The Cub Scout helps the pack go. The pack helps the Cub Scout grow. The Cub Scout gives goodwill). Jack needs to memorize all three in order to earn his first patch. He also learned the secret handshake as well (who knew there was a secret handshake?) And, may I say that he was just too cute?
