apple-picking!

Jack's first time going apple-picking--we went to an orchard right up the road from our house. They also sell homemade donuts there ("ummy!" Jack said), which of course we had to try. I found that it's really hard to take a 2- and a 4-year old apple-picking by oneself, though. I had to comfort Elizabeth when she knocked an apple off the tree and clocked herself in the head with it. And as for Jack, he kept picking fallen apples off the ground and putting them in our bags. I must say he was adorable, though--after telling him several times not to eat the apples on the ground, he teased me by bending over apples on the ground, pretending to take big bites from them, chewing theatrically, and smiling widely. All in all, we had a great time!
