Elizabeth's Brownie troop participated in a local Pinewood Derby. She enlisted our good friend, Dennis, to help her build her car, and they worked on it in his garage in the days preceding the Friday night race on April 6th. Though it doesn't show up particularly well in the photos, the paint she chose was a glitter paint--very pretty. The derby itself was lots of fun. Each girl's car ran in four heats. Their times were averaged and then compared to determine the winner. She came in 13th overall--pretty darned good, I think! Dennis, Kelly, and Amanda came, too, which made her very happy.
