Sunday in Maine

Today, we visited our friend, DJ. She gave us some daylilies for the garden (now I have to plant them!). To thank DJ, we took her to lunch and while at the restaurant ran into another friend, Julie, and her four grandchildren. All of us then went to the beach at Ocean Park. It was Jack's very first time at the beach! It would've been even nicer if it hadn't been so very windy (and therefore COLD). Jack splashed in the water a bit and eventually fell asleep with his head tucked into my shoulder. Elizabeth collected lots of shells and had a great time, too. After we dropped DJ back off at her house, we went to the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray for a couple hours (we stayed until the park closed at 6 pm). We saw lots of deer, some bobcats and lynx, a fox, a moose, a racoon, a mountain lion, Canada geese, two bears, an owl, turtles, three peacocks, and a wild turkey (to name just a few of the animals there). We came home a little while ago, and I am SO TIRED. I wish Elizabeth and Jack felt the same.........!
