busy day

We awoke this morning to lightning and thunder that was a bit too close for my comfort, but the day ended up being beautiful--hot and humid, just the way I like it. We signed Elizabeth up today for dance camp (three days of ballet, tap, and jazz classes) that begins in a few weeks and also toured the school. We were shown around the facility while we were there. It's huge--very different from the ballet school where she's taken classes previously. There are several large dance studios, and it even has a large stage complete with a heavy velvet curtain. I think we'll both like it and that she will continue to take dance classes there in the fall. After doing errands and shopping, we stopped at our absolute favorite place (a local farm) to get ice cream. They serve it from an old red caboose, and they make the ice cream using milk from their own cows. The best part, as far as Jack is concerned, is not the ice cream (which is Elizabeth's favorite thing about Toot's) but the fact that he can climb onto the caboose and visit with the farm animals.
