first homework assignment

For her first real first grade homework assignment, Elizabeth had to read a book aloud to me. She then had to record the date, the title of the book, and how many minutes she took to read it to me in a log. The book she brought home from school? Go, Dog. Go! How many minutes did it take for her to read it to me? Eight. (I think she needs to find a more challenging book). This will be a nightly assignment every Monday through Thursday, with weekends off. What a great idea--I love it!
