more Columbus Day pictures

We ate a picnic lunch and then played on the beach.  The weather was glorious--in the mid 80s--real beach weather!  After, we climbed in and on the old buildings and then played a bit on the rocks.  On the way home, we stopped at a playground and stayed there until it was dark.  A totally awesome day!

The kids walked through this narrow dark U-shaped space (best guess) about 100 times. I couldn't do it--too claustrophobic for me. It went back about 30 feet, then across about 50 feet, and back out again. I have no idea what its original purpose was, but it provided tons of fun for my kids on this day.
